The Board of Directors of Camp Stanislaus is pleased to introduce Mr. Matt Shannon as the new camp director. Matt has worked in the residency department at St. Stanislaus College since August 2007. As a former captain in the United States Air Force, he has outstanding leadership, management and business skills. Matt has worked in several leadership roles for Wal-Mart, Target and Tyco Healthcare, and he has a B.S. degree in economics with a minor in marketing from Texas A&M University.

Due to the damages sustained by Hurricane Katrina, Camp Stanislaus did not operate for the last two summers. According to Mr. Michael Reso, president of Camp Stanislaus, “we are very excited to reopen camp for our 2008 summer sessions, and we are excited to have Matt join our team as camp director. We are also looking forward to seeing our campers having fun learning to water ski, sail, shoot archery, and many more activities.” Registration information for next summer will be available before January 1, 2008.

Camp Stanislaus is an overnight and day camp for boys ages 8 through 15. The mission of Camp Stanislaus is to provide campers and counselors a safe and enjoyable recreational and learning experience in the Catholic tradition and according to the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
